why some people are just so narrow minded... darn this... tht person grieving is the same thing as people calling an entire group of 7 'noobs' or 'dumba*ses' and just quit in the most critical part of the mission. darn, I hate that. Serious they gotta do something for that...

Wow, that is just crazy. Finding a good PUG is difficult enough, so I'd have been mad too. I don't care what kind of day the guy was having; there is no excuse for behavior like that. This guy is going on my ignore list, though hopefully I'll never have the pleasure of running into him.

Once again, a prime example of a need for a party "kick" function is given.

A-net should seriously consider implementing one. Forget screenshots, waiting for A-net to enforce the EULA. Let the people police themselves.

At least until A-net gets a glut of complaints how they were wrongfully exploited by the new "kick" system.

A vicious cycle methinks.

Yes what he did is beyond the pale but as someone took up about 5-10 posts saying I should be banned for *accedently* using the word harrased I feel that it is a good idea to make stuff sound all nice and pretty. I mean whats better: Getting in a surprise wack or having him know its coming?

Now I really got to sleep as its over an hour past my bed time (7:00 AM EST or GMT-5 being my bed time)

I don't agree with the OP at all.

As retarded as that guy can be, no one deserves public humiliation. Besides, it's been stated before that posting IGNs for such reasons is unfair and far from correct. Mods usually don't tolerate it either.

This hate parade is grotesque.

Nothing wrong with hate... just as long it is for the correct person for the correct reason. Hating someone because they have red hair = bad. Hating someone because they murdered your family = good.

And some ppl DO NEED public humilation. Mebbe if more ppl were publicly humilated for thier stupidty there would be less of it.

you have to understand this guy is a contrarian. no matter what the prevailing thought he will go opposite even when presented with cold hard facts.

My post wasn't intended to serve as a gang bang on the perpetrator. It was to spread the news about his defection and prevent anyone else from getting this treatment via knowing of his actions and adding him to their ignore lists.

Notice that in the photographs, I said my intent was for him never to get a party for it again. Whether people find it necessary to remind him of his actions is the community's own decision and isn't supported or condemned by myself.

I do feel, however, that one must pubically be exposed if he or she poses a threat to a long time of work, and intend to see that nobody else goes through this with this character.

I've dropped the matter with him ingame. All I'm concerned about personally now as an affect of his actions is between me and Arenanet. Whether they ban him or suspend him is not my choice, but I am going to do my best to have this player learn not to do such juvenile things to players.

I appreciate the strength among the GW community. Knowing that he will not find as many parties to grief gives me some manner of content. Ultimately, however, I want to be able to reach a conclusion that deals with all, and not just this, griefer. I hope that one of the developers' PR posters can read this situation and take the appropriate measures to assure that this threat can be minimalized.

I am glad when people get exposed for crap like this. I had a monk in a FoW group the other day who did something really classy. Everyone died in a nasty little battle except for him. Well, while we were dying, we took some of the enemies out with us. Fortunately, a rare gold item dropped and we all got excited. However, the monk came over, sat on the ground, and just waited until the item became fair game since it was not his drop. He refused to rez us because he wanted the drop. Obviously, none of us had a choice. We were dead. So, he screwed us real good and all we could do was map out and put him on our ignore list.

I think people like that should be exposed and the community should make them pay for their behavior. If we don't do anything about it as a community, then we are basically condoning that type of behavior.

Wow, you cheesed him off, and probably told him off in game, which seems to be what he's hinting at, then he drops your group and you retaliate by trying to blacklist him?

Honestly, why don't you just take all the skilled players you had and go another round. Finding 6 power players in one round is a godsend. I don't see why you'd waste your time over something this stupid. Harrassing him, however, was an incredibly stupid move. Unless he gets banned, he's probably going to be more inclined to grief as an outlet for frustrations, and if he does, he has all the fodder he wants to ban that entire guild.

Just get over it, go find some shards, do wailing lord because it gives 20k xp for minimal work, and then go suicide yourself into the burning forest. Fun for all.
